Well I've just had a refund issued for my "return" - which is strange - since I never replied to the "out of stock email" regarding a refund.
Maybe this is a bit of a clue to the real deal : http://bigmaggot.co.uk/product.php?productid=833
They can't even get the picture right.0 -
There was no way this was an accident...it's on the original email in several places (even the headline).
I nearly ordered some other not quite so cheap items on the basis that I was covered on the postage with the battery order. Glad I didn't as I would have ended up with no batteries, just the other items and the postage.
I that the con...? Just get you in the shop to buy their other stuff...?Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0 -
I have accepted a full refund but have complained to consumer direct. If its a ploy to get more hits on their website then good luck to them, It worked, HOWEVER. if they ever try to do anything like that again in the future at least my complaint stands against the name of their company.
P.S they offered me
"We don't like to upset our customers and as a gesture of good will we would like to offer a £2 off voucher instead of the 20p refund, please use the voucher code 'battery'. "
So I replied.
"Andy, Is that a £2 off for every 20p spent as I ordered 198 packs @ 20p + shipping"
his reply ....
"We can only offer £2 off as we would be in financial troubles if we did this for all customers.
Please accept my apologies for this mistake."
Lol... Im glad they are honest at the fact they would be in financial troubles. they should be honest and just tell us they never actually had 60k's worth of battery and maybe we would stop pestering them
aghh well... didnt ever think they would ship at that price
worth a try though... P.S. I think it worked out close to 5500 battery's on my order... can you imagine the weight of the parcel? lmao :beer:0 -
