New connection problem

We're doing a self build and had Scottish Power quote for a power connection. They quoted for single phase first but we needed 3 phase for our heat pump (ground source heat pump) so they requoted for that, I paid it and they said let them know when we need the connection. A few months down the line the guy was out today and tells us we can only get single phase there! This totally blows our heating plans out the water as you can't get a single phase heat pump the size that we need. He says there's no 3 phase for miles so there is no way we could get it. Just wondered if we have any recourse?
Thanks
Dave

didnt they do a survery prior to payment?Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Well, first of all, check the facts. I assume most of the electricity infrastructure near you is overhead. So is it 1 phase or 3? And what supply rating is your heatpump? If it is so massive, they might not be prepared to allow a single phase version on their system anyway!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Guy came down to site before quoting.
He says he can give us up to 25Kw on a single phase and could fit 2 single phase lines. One for heat pump and one for rest of house.0 -

Looks like this is going to cost us £££££££££ to change things as we may need to dig up some of our concrete floors to lay extra pipe that we will need if we switch to 2 single phase pumps. Just wondering what recourse I have with Scottish Power to recover costs?0
