Do you know what the internal score is required for a Step account?
If it's 4or5 with a bit of hard work I could get an upgrade in the future?

You may get an upgrade after running your step account in good order for 6 months.

The internal scores go from 1 being the best 10 being the worst.

Can internal scores change month by month depending on how well the account is run? If mine is 10 at the moment for example getting to around 7 to be possible for an upgrade does'nt sound like to much hardwork or does it take months to improve your internal score by 1 point or so?

Internal scores are updated the first Monday of the month.

The score will change depending on how well you have managed your account.

You would need to have run your account well for atleast 3-6 months to be considered for an upgrade. Bare in mind 9 times out of 10 you will still be credit scored anyway.

If you internal rating is 7 or above the bank will recommend you apply for other products such as an account upgrade.

Do you mean below 7? :p;)

    @cbassno3

Every new bank connection starts at 0 - no pre-assessment. The score changes each month - usually at the beginning, based on your account behaviour the previous month.

5-6 tend be standard, so this shouldn't be a problem - I would give it at least 6 months though before you decide to do anything.

Also, do you work at the moment? If you do, and are wanting to build an internal score, I'd get your wages paid into the account aswell.
Anything that I do say, is strictly my opinion :p

Twister 84.. Yeah im working full time and could be putting in £1550 pcm into the My new Natwest current account. 6 months is not that long to wait potentially. I haven't got anywhere with Lloyds as yet despite running my account well.

    Evening all,

I do my main banking with Lloyds tsb. I have been banking with them for around 7 months and at the start was very impressed with the services they providing. In the recent few weeks I have been a little dissapointed. Firstly I did have the silver account again at first a great little account until the changed t&c in reference to mobile phone insurance I.E £100 Per claim on any phone. Very excessive in my opinion compared to other banks. Vantage percentage has been reduced which is a shame, good while it lasted. And lastly I can't have a cheque book with my classic account, It's not the end of the world but it's still a little perk with the account. Has anyone had better experiences with Natwest and would advise me to switch to them or shall I stick with Lloyds? Many thanks in advance!;)

Reference mobile phone excess this is for a iphone and if you upgrade to the gold it will be at the reduced fee again.

Vantage hasnt been reduced until the 27th June and its the top tier which is dropping between £5000 - and £7000.

Not sure why you cant have a cheque book..?

    ;)
Can I find out my credit score?
You do not have a single credit score or rating. Different organisations take different information into account when working out your credit score and may have different scores for different products. (Kindly from Experian)

Hi KirbyBirch - I have a Private account and wonder about the excess payable for an iPhone based on your last post - would my excess be £100 or was this frozen as per your comments on Gold?

    Thanks in advance.....

I spoke to Lloyds about the gold account this evening and they can't upgrade me as it's only letting them upgrade me to a silver account on there system? I thought great. So I rang up Natwest and added the advantage blue no problems at all. A good little addition at a fair price. I'm Switching everything over to Natwest!!!!!!:D

Evening is this a Private Banking account or Premier Banking account? I suspect Premier Banking if so its frozen as per above posting. Private Banking depends what you have (lots of cash needed for this Private Banking)
