lectrospin - if your LL is being a cheapskate you could always try getting a better fridge via your local Freecycle group. People often dispose of reliable freestanding ones when upgrading their kitchens to include integrated appliances. You then , as the others have said, get the item crossed off your inventory.

I'll probably end up getting my own, the reason I'm not happy is because my place isn't exactly a student dive, the reason I decided to live there was because it was a high quality apartment with very nice furnishings. I would have thought twice about paying the amount for a place that was less than high quality. It devalues the place yet i'm expect to pay the same?

Don't suppose he owns a 2 bedroom apartment in Manchester city centre that he might want to let..?:D

Sadly not but if he ever does ;)

The fire in my living room packed in and I mentioned it to him he let me pick the replacement one said to get one that suited my furniture best. His attitude is hes glad to have a good tenant and wants to make sure I stay as long as possible :)

Just as tenants vary, so do landlords.

But to many landlords, a tenant who is happy, stays a long time, and pays regularly, is worth keeping sweet!
