BT is reducing rates on Saturday by up to 24%, though not from the kindness of its heart as it's a result of a ruling from regulator Ofcom which forced mobile operators to cut the costs they charge other firms.
Erm.. Ofcom ruling that mobile operators have to cut the costs they charge other firms does not automatically mean that BT etc. have to lower the charges end users pay...

(though I know BT were one of the main people behind the campaign to get the fees lowered)

More interestingly, the BT Press release also states:
We are passing on Ofcom’s reduction and what’s more we’ll soon be telling customers how they can stop worrying about call charges from landlines to mobiles with a new, inclusive consumer calling package.

Be interesting to see they come up with..

    Regards
    Sunil
