If a couple are both unemployed and one of them is entitled to JSA CONTS and the other JSA IB do they make a joint claim or two claims?

Two claims, however once the JSA(c) has been exhausted (hopefully won't happen as the person would have found a new job by then) a couple claim will have to be made.0

No, I would have answered joint claim, only single claim if both entitled to JSA C. The couple rate will still be made up with the JSA C but then topped up with JSA IB.0

I was on JSA(C) two years ago when Marley was laid off, I was told that my single JSA(C) claim had to be closed and a joint JSA(IB) claim opened instead.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls
