Company caused damage to my property

Ok I need to update you guys on this as things did not go how I would have like them
I managed to work form home whilst they commenced the work
The damage was to wall paper so the whole area needed stripping and I advised I would accept it to be painted. So they began stripping and put lining paper up to paint on. Over the two days they did not manage to complete the work so further work is required. I have already noticed now that the lining paper is beginnig to lift and bubble and the surface is very uneven. I have been told that they should have 'skimmed' the walls first? but the did not so any little blenishes show through.
I have asked the manager to reply to me or ring me and I am happy to pop out at lunch for him to see the standard but I have yet to get a reply even though I have chased. 2 weeks ago I advised him of the issues
What action should I take, I feel like getting a local company in to strip the walls, skim and paint and send them a bill but I cant find a company local to me that does it all in one, they want a plaster to do the work that I find. They wont sub contract the plastering out?
Thanks in advance for any advice
Tom
Lining paper on wet plaster. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
What exactly was the extent of the damage? At one point you say they ripped the wallpaper, then that they drilled through the wall, and now that theres a plasterer required.
Second, did you take pictures?
Doesnt really matter if they had permission or not. In every contract there is a duty of care. You would have expected them to carry out their work without damaging your property - its just common sense.
Put your complaints in writing and if you havent taken pictures already, do so now.You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -

The company have already accepted liability, the OP is more concerned about the quality of the remedial work being carried out.The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -

Sorry that part of my post was in reply to:id say they dont even have to repair it, seeing as you gave them authority to drill the wall in the first place. whatever they offer is good enough. You keep using that word. The wall paper had to all be removed and as such some plaster was taken off in the process, (I am told this happens)
I will take pictures of the poor work and put it in writing to the company as suggested
I still have not had reply from, the company0 -
Update, They now have contacted me and want pictures of the work done so far
I cannot afford any more days off until next year but I shouldn't have to wait until then0 -
Sorry to bump this to the top again but can some one answer me on whether it is standard practise to put wallpaper up and then use silicon sealant on the edges? eg between the wall paper and door frames etc0

I think it might be useful if you can post a picture of the work, in order for anyone to form a definite opinion. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
Yes, they have done the silicone on all internal doors where it meets the lining wall paper
These are the pictures i sent them, it is really hard to photograph and i did not picture the silicon sealnt as i only noticed that this weekk
