Wireless or NOT

I'm updating my computer desk. Bought a flat screen monitor and combined printer/scanner and also new wireless keyboard and optical mouse. Guy in PC world told me laser mouse was no more accurate than optical but more expensive so I got optical. When I read the installing instructions, it occured to me that wireless keyboard and mouse may cause some connectivity problems. has anybody experienced any problems. I can easily take it back & exchange for wired gear, but thought wireless "was the way forward" but DONT want any messing about. Whats the best thing to do????

I have only experience problems with wireless keyborad/mouse at work where six of us were in close proximity and we used to get interference from each other. (so to speak) Never been a problem at home

I would say with the number of new systems now shipping with wireless mouse/keyboard being used in a home wirless network...chances of interference are very small to practically non existant.....nearly everyone I know uses that setup and none of us have any problems

When the batteries run low in the keyboard/mouse you will have connection issues - ensure you know where the battery monitor is installed, so you can keep an eye on the charge... so you know to have a set recharged and ready to replace them ....

LIES! :D I changed my LED optical for a laser optical and I have to say it is far more accurate, it now has a resolution up to 2000 dpi which you certainly can't get with LED. And it is a real obvious difference.

Lidl have a rechargeable optical wireless mouse for £6.99 on the 18th. My Logitec lasts for three weeks of heavy daily use before the batteries need charging.

Blimey, 9 buttons, I'm in love. Seems like a good price.
