Well done Capt Splash - just goes to show you anyone can get themselves rid of debt. If only my stepdaughter were as determined as you to rid herself of her debts. Husband and I agreed to take out a loan for her on the promise that she would repay us monthly. Not had anything from her in over 18 months now. Maybe I'll show her your post! Congratulations again and enjoy your new debt free existence.

I think that it may not have been a good idea to pay your step daughters debts as she won't have learnt anything. I learnt because of the pain we had to go through to become debt free.
You learn not to put your had in the fire because you get burnt ad it hurts, if someone puts their hand in it doesn't teach you anything. I bet you've learnt not to trust her again?
