What year were your tax credits based on 2009-2010 or an estimate of 2010-2011?

As long as they are based on an estimate of 2010-2011 then yes you will be owed some money. x

Was your 2010/11 estimate higher than your 2009/10 actual? If it was then your payments won't have been based on the estimate, they'll have been based on your 2009/10 actual (unless the estimate was >25k higher). Due to the disregard.

In this case the estimate being 2k too high will make no difference, unless the actual was lower than your 2009/10 actual.

Also if you were just getting the family element it might make no difference anyway.
