i have read the sticky:o but i am not VERY technically minded (sorry)
new lappy, had X amount of days free Norton, it expires today
being bombarded with popups to renew
do i have to pay for the norton?, or can i download free ones?
or is it better paying for something else?

I'd hold off on Avast at the moment, as the latest version has a known bug causing crashes for some people.
They're still working out the problem and haven't yet brought in the fix.0 -
