Out of 4 items I have purchased this week a staggering 3 are wrong. So annoyed! Especially with one particular item....
Bought a 'sweatshirt' via auction. It sells for 3x what I paid for it on BIN so was happy to win it. Seems the seller (who prints this stuff) wasn't so chuffed and sent a long sleeved cheap T Shirt rather than the sweater I won in an attempt to even the costs I suppose.
Obviously, I noticed and he has offered to send out the 'correct' item on return of the first one. He has provided me with an address, but do I still need to send back to the registered PayPal address as I can't see one linked to his account in my PayPal?
Obviously it will go back recorded (not worth sending 'signed for' for £8)

incidentally, the other items that popped through my front door this week were a clear plastic iPad cover rather than the green silicone one i ordered and a generic £1 chemist nit comb rather than the £10 Nitty Gritty Comb in the auction picture. Annoyed isn't the word this week, especially as I needed the comb with some urgency :-/0

I don't know but I think I'd start with opening a SNAD. Is there anything on Paypal's help section?
Nightmare week for you! :eek:They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.

I don't really want to go down the Paypal route if possible, he's said he will send out the correct item on return of the incorrect one, it's just that I cant see any address listed in his Paypal, only the one he has given me via email so I'm not sure whether its safe to send it back to that one or not.You should send it back to the payal registered address
Which is exactly the question I have asked above. There isn't one listed in Paypal, only one which the seller has since (grudgingly) given to me......0 -

The paypal protection programme does not stipulate where you should return items other than 'return to the seller'. There is nothing to suggest it needs to go to the sellers registered address. If you don't go through the resolution process then I would suggest you use the address the seller has given.0 -
buyer's protection is in place do deal with the issues you are having, unless the seller is offering to pay for return postage you have nothing to gain by not opening a claim, in my opinion.
If the seller has apologised and offered to pay for return postage (like many good sellers would) then I would agree not to open a dispute. If they haven't done this then I would not trust them and just open a dispute, why should you have to pay for their mistake?
PS I know this does not answer your question. I'm not sure why you are asking here rather than contacting the seller, we don't know if the address is the right one (some sellers may use their accountant's address or similar as official address, and have a separate warehouse etc)0 -
I think this is going to go to Paypal to be honest. I've just been back through the paperwork and the address provided on the payment notice is not the one supplied to send it back to. This makes me wary, especially as googling the returns address it seems to be a business that is in no way connected with shirts and printing...
They are not offering return postage either so I think you are probably right Terra.
Oh, and as far as the other items are concerned....
Ordered Green iPad case, received clear one. Seller apologised, sending correct colour and told me to keep the wrong one. On inspection the wrong one is badly damaged anyway. Still waiting for it to turn up, but hopefully its sorted.
Ordered rather expensive £10 head lice comb. Received £2 generic chemist shop comb. Seller apologised and has promised to issue refund immediately, still waiting on that too....
Not been my week on ebay lol0 -
            Small update...
Correct colour iPad cover was received the next day with an apology. Positive feedback and full stars left
Refund for incorrect comb also received the next day with an apology. Positive feedback and full stars left
Now, the sweater.....
It was returned tracked, Signed for with signature available online last week. Since then nothing. No reply, no communication and certainly no correct item. I've filed a not as described dispute this afternoon grrr0
