Selling house when living abroad

Just a quick question for a friend of mine...

He's moving abroad, and his house in England is on the market to be sold.

It's jointly owned, and the other owner lives in England.

When the house is sold, how do the logistics work with one owner living abroad? Will he have to fly back to the UK to sign paperwork, or can it simply be done my sending any documentation via international courier? Or could the other owner sign on their behalf?

Would there be any other issues with one owner living abroad?

I have no idea, so thought I'd ask clever people on here! :D
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

I gave my solicitor power of attorney. Only for the house transaction though.

Presumably that would have to be done before he left???

I would imagine so. It would need to be witnessed.
