I just got an automated email from MSE this morning saying someone with the IP
217.155.201.25
tried and failed to log in 5 times last night.
Email came through at 4:21am.
A quick check leads to a Zen subscriber in the UK.
Anybody else get this or is it just a one-off?

I have not had anything like that.
Zen are pretty reputable, so it may be worth a complaint to them. I assume it's one of their users trying to hack in, or sharing out their IP via an anonymous proxy.0 -
I don't know about Zen, I don't think they take questions or complaints too seriously. This is how my various questions have been answered by their tech support or sales line:
Me: How good is your anti-spam software for email?
them: Water which is too pure has no fish.
Me: The help pages seem a bit empty... is this something you'll improve?
them: The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear.
Me: Do you have any parental control software?
them: Speech is blasphemy, silence a lie. Above speech and silence there is a way out
Me: ...
Me: Someone with an IP address from your ISP tried to hack my MSE account
them: We shape clay into a pot, but it is the emptiness inside that holds whatever we want.
After talking to their tech support, I always end up feeling like I know less than when I started. It's very disconcerting.

Or it could simply be someone who has a user name similar to yours, mis-typed it and then tried to use their password for their account and not realised straight away that they had mis-typed the user name. Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0

I would change your password anyway (If you haven't already).0
