I see ghosts all the time, and the Grand Hotel is frightfully busy indeed, both with the living and the dead. From the first night, I knew right away... I could feel it and see it. My first experience was a little while after I entered the bar to meet friends. It was windy on the balcony when I turned suddenly to see a barmaid struggling with glasses at the double doors as I like to call them. She was trying to manage more than she could handle and in doing so dropped one of the glasses, needless to say, it bounced off the concrete just on the outside of the door; this glass not only bounced, but I could see it flex.
This is not uncommon for me, but always signifies their interest in me, which so far up to now (touch wood) has not put me in any danger. I was rather tired after a long journey, when after the cabaret I retired to my room. Room 330A to be precise. I didn't want any breakfast so put the Do Not Disturb sign on the handle believing I could afford myself a bit more rest for the next day ahead. It was 9am next morning when I was rudely awoken with the violent shuddering of my door. Still half dazed I waited for the noise to stop, which it did in due course. About half an hour later I then received a knock on the door by which time I was able to answer. I was going to reproach whom I would meet for half tearing the door off... especially as my door said Do Not Disturb. "Let me assure you Sir that whoever tried your lock had no permission to do so" she said with an air of certainty. "Then who do you suppose had a key to try so persistently as they did to gain entry?" Would this have happened if I had not put the latch on?
The message was clear that I was in for quite a show. That day I went to visit the castle and Anne Bronte's resting place, knowing in my mind that anything might happen, and would. Being in some of Scarborough's most haunted locations didn't help matters at all. I will mention at this point that I put a fair amount of faith in my guide, and I will not elaborate on this matter further. Let's just say I am not afraid when I am in benign company. The day passed quite pleasantly and I even found myself on the Regal Lady in rather windy conditions for not having a coat. That boat has saved many a soul, and, it wasn't time to lose one. There is all the elaboration you need on the matter of what a spiritual guide can do.
The next day I was strangely tired with the need of an afternoon sleep, which seemed the best thing to do under the circumstances, as the weather was more wind and more rain. When I arose I was hungry and decided to go out and dodge the rain for food. The lights in the corridor always played up too when I was about, again such occurrences do not phase me as they might some. The staff in this case as was the first were not to blame. I proceeded to the lift on the third floor and pressed for it to appear, then waited. It arrived where I met a pleasant elderly couple who were on there way to the fifth floor, so I waited with them. We reached the fifth floor and waiting there was a young woman, late twenties, early thirties. It struck me as odd that this couple paid no attention to her, in as far, as they nearly walked straight into her. Odder still was how this young woman was just as oblivious to the couple as they to her. I said to her as she just stood there, "where are you going?" She moved into the lift on being questioned and replied "the ground" and off we went, until...
It stopped for no apparent reason on the third floor, where I had just come from. The third floor was not lit up on the panel, so why should it stop? Okay, I know what you're thinking; this is not so unusual and I wasn't that bothered as what I said next prooves. "Can you believe that? it just stopped, and look there's nobody there!" "I knew that this place was haunted but messing about with lift"... then she spoke saying the words "Yes, that's been happening a lot lately." My mind is ticking over at this point waiting for that defining moment, when I can put my finger on it. We reach the ground floor, and like a gentleman I am waiting while a disabled, elderly couple wait for us to depart. She doesn't move so in haste I make my exit. While i dashed, almost round the corner, I looked back and saw the woman dead still as the couple moved into the lift. The penny dropped with an extremely loud clang! I ran back to the lift, but, I was too late so decided to take the side stairwell. I met with the startled couple on a corridor exhausted, on which floor, I cannot remember. "Sorry if I have frightened you, but.... (getting my breath back) "Was there a young woman in the lift when I got out on the ground? "What woman?" came their reply, and with a shudder of terror, I realised that she had indeed gone to ground. They insisted that I was on my own in the lift and thought it strange that I seemed to be looking at someone who wasn't there.
    I see dead people.
  • The basement especially the corridor rooms 1 to 10 are to be avoided. I would certainly not encourage anyone of a sensitive disposition to sleep in those rooms. I believe the female apparition I saw in the lift manifests from that area. There is a lot of negative, dark energy there which is extremely oppressive for any person who possesses weak nerves. The woman reportedly seen on the stairs in red is I believe the same entity in question. I believe guilt may weigh heavily on this spirit, who frequents many areas of this hotel. The source I believe is in one of those rooms. Her hands belong to that of an old lady: a victorian woman who has a gold serpent ring wrapped around her marriage finger. I believe she may need help despite all the ostentatious displays that would make Oscar Wilde's Canterville Ghost proud indeed.
  • Thanks for sharing this information. I am really exciting to read more comics related to ghost, which includes lots of scary in those stories. It includes lot s of suspense and more trilling issues included in the stories.

many people are MORE likely to go if they think it is haunted than stay away tbh
when life gives you lemons, stick them in your top & pretend you have pointy boobs.
When life gives you melons, stick them in your top & say you've had a boob job :)
