Which boiler company advert?

Just got my boiler cover renewal and it is £178 per annum.
It has been going up by more than the rate of inflation for many years now and am considering an alternative strategy.
I saw an ad with a well known celeb(who I can't recall right now) going on about buying a new boiler and paying for it monthly. The main message was that the cost of repaying would not be much more than boiler maintenance cover. I paid no attention at the time but am not so sure after my renewal came through.
Can anyone suggest which company this could have been so that I can investigate further?

A new boiler is going to cost you thousands....."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

The alternative strategy is just to save your £178 and fix or replace your boiler when required.0

You don't have to have boiler maintenance cover. As has been stated you could just put by some money each month to cover emergencies, if you have the will power to do this. It is easy to spend the money rather than save it, so will power and financial restraint is required. My maintenance contract includes an annual boiler service, so if yours does not then change it to one that does. The only reason that I have a maintenance contract with BG is to ensure that someone will come out quickly.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0
