Has my Kodak Easyshare had it?

For sometime now I've been having problems with my camera (around 18 months old) and the batteries it uses. I charge them up and the next time I reach the camera out the batteries are almost flat. Usually I get to take a couple of photos and then it switches itself off.

I blamed the batteries at first so recharged them or replaced them with others but the problem still persists.

Today I thought I'd check out the power left in the batteries...the camera won't even power up but when I put them in my SatNav, that tells me they are almost full.

I've tried to search for firmware but it doesn't seem to be a common problem.

Can anyone offer any advice? Has my camera had it?
