Mcafee PC Protection Plus 2007

Hi...This year I bought a new Mcafee PC Protection Plus 2007. However, in the last couple of weeks I have had a problem.An icon comes up at the bottom of my screen with a cross on it. This states that my computer is not protected.I go to the security suite and click on the "fix" button as instructed...it then states that several errors cannot be fixed..When I restart my computer everything loads ok...then after 5-10 mins it goes wrong all over again.Has anyone any suggestions as to what I can do to sort this out.Thanks

Have you tried removing it, rebooting your PC and re-installing?

How much did it cost you ! why didnt you just use Sygate firewall and Avast antivirus . In tests they come out as good as the bought programs. I been told that Mcafee hogs your computer making it run slow,Norton does as well .
