Hi, my laptop is supposed to have a 500gb hard drive.
I have looked at 'my computer' details and can't see anything which is 500. There's 329 of 329gb free on the D and 80 of 116gb free on the C drive.
Am I looking in the wrong place?
Thanks

No. It will be one physical hard drive partitioned into two logical ones, C and D. . 329GB+116GB = 445GB which sounds right taking into account the differences in definitions of a Gigabyte and a possible hidden recovery partition.
If you go to Control Panel, Administration Tools, Computer Management, Storage then you'll see the single drive and the two partitions.0 -

Bet it's an Acer, they (used to) partition like that, a big D drive to store stuff, but many don't know how to use it. No offence to OP.Move along, nothing to see.0

Mentions of 'My Computer' and a 'C:' and 'D:' drive... and you assume it's Linux?0
