It looks like ebay are tinkering again as the message system appears to be down. Heaven help us all when ebay start improving things, they always manage to break it.
Finland went OK, one parcel was very slow and buyer contacted me, but the other two got there very quickly. Apart from those three I think I've only actually sold about two other things to Finland in all the years I've been selling.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. TBH the only time i have been ripped off is when i HAVE been paid with paypal.
Sounds iffy to me though. I recently added overseas to my listings. But after 4 weeks in a tussle about a payment from Argentina, i have now blocked many countries. I will stick to the European Union, USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.
I must say though - International signed for as impressed me. I thought i had wasted my money after reading what soolin says about it - but most confirmed delivery - and touch wood nothing lost yet.0 -

I don't believe the enhanced services are any less secure than standard airmail so I am not surprised nothing has been lost. Well over half my sales go overseas and I think I have only had one overseas lost this year and that was to Italy so I blame myself for starting to allow bids from there again having had italy blocked for years.
You actually prove my point though about why the enhanced services are not worth it as you say " but most confirmed delivery" , most implies that some do not and therefore you might as well have used standard airmail for items under £46.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. TBH, the main reason i normally use Intl. Signed For or Airsure services because of a few Intl. bidders i've had claiming to have not received the items.
At least if you send via a signed for method, it usually puts them off trying to "pull a fast one".0 -

This is what I don't understand though. Doesn't the fact that in many cases international signed for services do NOT get a signature make a scammer more likely to claim as he can 'prove' item hasn't arrived? If normal mail gives you a lot of claims then it might be worth looking at your selling practices as you may well be attracting them for some reason, and it may pay you to look into why.
Really thought if I thought everyone was out to get me I would not sell on ebay or online at all. I do not feel that I have to protect myself against my buyers.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I get this.. just last week i had 5 packages to Norway in one day, normally i will only send 1-2 a month.
Or sometimes an item that sells 4-5 a month will sell 5 in a row over the space of an hour.
I think in your case your listings may have been promoted in the Malaysian eBay site in a prominent place (like the home page, maybe Disney auction promotions)
