Am I entitled to a reduction on my bill?

My O2 land line has another fault, the second in the space of about 6 weeks! The last fault my land line was off air for about a week. This time I can make calls but there is no ring when someone calls. I now have to wait in all afternoon tomorrow which means taking the afternoon off from work.

Am I entitled to a reduction in my bill for these faults which equates to about a fortnight the phone has been faulty?

O2 were pretty good when my mum's internet went down Ask them, they should be OK with it.

Virgin media did the same when our phone wasn't working, so I suspect they will

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I was wondering though if it was maybe written in guidelines somewhere rather than it just being the company's prerogative.
