You may be paying 20% more than anywhere else BUT the extra quality is worth more than 20%! If I buy a ready meal fromTesco or Sainsbury's my DH knows it isn't from M&S and even my DD can tell too. The other day I bought a tuna mayo deli filler at Sainsbury's and today she said to me "that tuna wasn't from Marks's was it mum?" "don't buy it again it was disgusting". So as the old adage goes "You get what you pay for"
Basically what you're buying at M&S is the equivalent of Sainsbury's "Taste the Difference" or Tesco "Finest". Yes, it probably is high quality stuff, but as a DFW you have to ask yourself if you can afford it. Maybe the thing to do is to treat yourself on a regular basis (monthly??), by going in and buying something nice to reward yourself for all the good DFW-style shopping you've been doing in Aldi/Lidl/Netto all the rest of the time!! I'm definitely with linzpower on this one.

I do M&S once a year at christmas, for the past 2 years I have saved my I Points and got M&S vouchers so my christmas food shopping is covered for very little initial outlay. I Do love M&S food too, and if you have ever tasted my cooking you would dispute the fact I could make it at home to taste better LOL.
