I would call them again to chase things up! New claims can take a while to sort out and also its currently the time of tax credits renewal's so a busy time and almost impossible to get through on the phone, you are best phoning first thing in the morning if you can and preferably a week day.

In that case I would request to talk to a manager as a lot do seem to just fob you off with whatever the last note on the computer says! The renewal's do start in April so it may still be due to that but it's still no excuse really they should be telling you more than they are.. Give them another ring and be harsh!

Just to add, have you checked they have the correct payment info for you?

when i spoke to them about 2 weeks ago the advisor put me through to the manager who told me that all he can do is escalate it.he couldnt do anymore because it wasnt showing any problems just that it was waiting to be processed.and yes payment details are correct.could it be the income tax letter i recieved is holding it up or is that separate? thanks

I doubt it but seeing as it is all linked to your tax it may just be worth contacting your local tax office to see if they could shed any light on the situation. If they say its all been sorted and are just awaiting the payments to calculate I cant see they require any further info than they have to be honest and if that was the case they should be able to tell you what that was when you rang! Are you claiming as an individual in full time employment or for having a child/children?
