Hi All hope someone can help
Myself and my partner recently bought a ford galaxy on finance from a ford dealership (5months) we had the car and each month something would go wrong glo plugs battery steering handbrake jammed etc etc.
The dealership in question then said they would swap out the car for another 7 seater which we thought great no hassle there, we got an s max 4 weeks ago and the car maybe suit some people but it does not suit our needs on top of the deposit we already put down for the galaxy they then wanted 350 more pounds for the s max and our monthly repayments have gone up as well for what we deem as a smaller car both cars are 2006(56) reg but we are unhappy with this. Ford Relastionship centre (compliants dept) have told us to back to the dealer and explian and if no joy to come back to them and they will build a case. When i asked where we stood if we just wanted to have our deposit money back and give back the car she could not answer me.
So first where do we stand on that issue??? can we hand the car back ??? the orignal car they have put back on the forecourt for sale!
If anyone can help with this situatuion i will gladly listen and ANY help would be soooooooo greatly appreaciated..
Many thanks

Sorry to hear you have had all those problems, it must be so disappointing for you. I would contact Consumer Direct (Trading Standards) or your local citizens advice centre to get a better understanding of what your rights are. Once you have some advice contact the dealership at the highest possible level (ask to speak to a Director) as well as following any complaints process they may have. What ever you do don't give up making a fuss until they take your situation seriously. Also make sure you take up Fords offer to go back to them if you don't get satisfaction with the dealer. Good luck and I really hope you manage to get it sorted.0

Personally i would have kept the galaxy, After replacing those parts you should
get 5 years out of them without having to think of them again.
Just the flywheel, Injectors and diesel pump to worry about.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
they took the galaxy back because it wasnt fit for purpose?
theres a main reason to anyone buying a vehicle and that to suit your needs.
the car should not have cost more, its replacemnt to the faulty one if i get what your post says.
i would call consumer direct to see where you stand legally. have you signed anything to say you will pay th extra amount?0 -

Yes!!! we paid the extra 350 dep and monthly repayments started going out as of yesterday more then the original car we have also started into reading the agreements and the s max costs less than the galaxy so we are little bemused as to why it costs more ..0 -
Sounds like they did not swap but sold you a new car/deal. Gave you less for the galaxy than you paid?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

Yes after a bit of digging we phoned the credit company that dealt with the finance and they sold us the galaxy for 13909 and settle the finance on 12400 and also the gap insurance they told us Non transferrable we phoned abraxus and they said due to the circumstances they would have transferred it to the new vechile so we have to e-mail details and see if we can get a refund (possibly fingers crossed)0
