Assessment rate Of ESA

Hi folks,

At the moment I get £154 a week total on incapacity benefit (contribution based) Just over £90's for myself and the rest for my partner as a dependant as we have a child, which we have been getting for a few years now.

In due course like everyone else I know I will be reassessed for ESA and trying to work out what amount we would get if I am turned down and have to appeal.

I believe the assessment rate is in the £60's whilst you wait for your appeal, but I wonder if the same amount applies to me as we get for my partner as well because we have a child. I would not be entitled to any IB income based benefits as I would fall outside the rules. We do get tax credits.

If any person who understandts the rules as reagards the assessment rate in my case I would be very very grateful.

Thank you so much.

If you have to appeal you will only be eligible for the ESA assessment rate. If you win your Tribunal then the difference to what you should have received will be backdated.
