Fridge Magnet Photo Frame

I have bought some digi photo frames as my daughter is coming over from Australia for a holiday so as I thought they were nice and light that I would buy some as a present for each of them to take back to oz...

However, I plugged in the digiframe, which worked fine, loaded on some photos and everything was hunky dory... A few days later, I plugged in the same frame but the computer just doesn't see it... I've tried using a different usb port, different cable.. and nothing... I've tried switching it on and off... There is no sign of it when I click on 'computer'... I did google the problem and I found information to try safe mode.... and also followed the instructions for a 'clean boot'... nothing, niente.... I then tried another digiframe ... but just the same... no recognition at all....

I had also bought digi keyrings .. same idea, same software... loaded no problem... was able to plug it in more than once... add more photos... etc etc... I even copied the software onto the computer.. opened it up and then tried to see if I could find the digiframe via the software (DPFmate) but no..... I also read on the internet that when a frame is first plugged in, it has to be updated... but I couldn't find any 'update' on the menu...

I would appreciate any help....

I have windows 7 operating system.....

When I had gone into menu, I saw 'usb connected' and thanks to another poster, I went into the actual menu and made sure it was selected...
