BARRY - Best decorated Christmas lights/houses

As I drove around Barry looking for Christmas lights with the kiddies I thought it would be a good idea if any Barrians could post where they have seen any nicely decorated houses

  • Barrians Way - abit up from the Old College Inn, as you turn into the cul de sac there are 3 houses magnificently decorated.

The first one is blue, the second red and the third has white lights. It is worth parking your car up and taking a look at the snow globe and assorted characters. They look wonderful and we have visited several times already.

On the gate posts of 2 of the houses there are collection boxes for Ty Hafan which is a nice idea.

Another one is on Whitewell Road by the Spar up the Colcot this has an illuminated santa and reindeer on the roof.

Any others I have missed ?

    thanks Welshy x

i have driven around every night this week showing my daughter the lights and undoubtably the best houses are the ones is barrians way - i love the colour blue on those lights.

whitewell road isn't as good this year, mr allen is def slacking i think. the house by the spar on winston road used to be good, but i think they must have moved because they're not there any more.

the house by gladstone school is very very well lit up, they also do it for charity, so this is actually costing me a bit of charity money as well as petrol!

there are a few in the heathers and up the colcot, but i think the ones we've said are the best

high street is looking pretty, i'm glad they managed to get the lights up this year.
