Hi all,im having troubles with my alarm/immobiliser.
I own a 1996 impreza wrx fitted with a gt auto alarm gt136/142 cat 1 system and need some advice.
I picked up my little lad from nursery friday and popped my parents on the way home, got out the car and pressed the alarm fob to lock it but nothing happened. Tried again, light flashes on the fob but doors dont lock, changed the battery in the fob and still nothing. The fob has always been a bit fiddly and had to be pressed quite hard.
As the alarm and immobiliser are connected i couldnt get the car to start so had to leave it there. The alarm is a gt auto alarm gt136/142 cat 1 system and is quite old, fitted in 99. Has anyone had any similar problems with these? Any help would be very much appreciated.
Or does anyone know of a good auto electrician in the St Helens/north west area?
Thanks,Tony
