Someone on here was telling me about these for sale cheap at Motorpoint - 2.0 petrols though. Not a UK model so they're imports from somewhere.

Interestingly I've seen them in use locally as taxis - are there diesel ones floating around too or are drivers ofsetting purchase cost (£8600 pre-registered) against fuel cost?

A big saloon with a petrol engine would be a candidate for an LPG conversion.

They may be from Cyprus? I am sure Cyprus is rhd.

I doubt they are ROI models as petrols are rare over there. Though they may well be from ROI as they couldn't sell them!

I reckon if the pricepoint that jase1 has mentioned Kilty they are a no brainer, especially if you do low miles. Though as i said they would be an LPG candidate for definate.

They were a UK model, but were withdrawn at the end of 2009. Entirely possible that these are the remaining UK stock.

I have not seen cheap diesels around, but if I had been in the market for a brand-new Vectra-sized petrol car they would have been near the list to at least have a test-drive in.

I suspect that even if the diesels were 11 or 12 grand they might still be worth getting hold of as a minicab, seeing as the engine, gearbox and most other parts are GM.
