Hi all
I have a sony cybershot camera and when i clear it (delete all images in this folder) it comes up with nothing on the playback screen..
However when i plug it in to computer to download it...there are about 6 pictures which i took ages ago and i cant seem to find them on my camera to delete them....
Any ideas where these pics could be hiding??
TIA

Have you formatted the card?0

Stick it in the computer, and run the official SD Formatter on it:
http://www.sdcard.org/consumers/formatter_3/
put 'format size adjustment' on in the Options
p.s. thread was such a let-down compared to what the title promised0 -
You sure the camera doesn't have some built in memory? You could format the memory card till next year and they would still be there in a different memory location.
Try removing the memory card and then looking for the images on the camera.====0 -
I wondered about those secret pictures, so a bit of a disappointment for me too

Have you tried looking at the trash folder on your card. I have found out in my cameras, is that when we delete from the camera it goes into the trash folder in the memory card.
What I normaly do is when I plug the card to my pc, I delete from there.

we used to have to take the memory card out of our camera, and then it lets you take about half a dozen pics which store on your camea, not your memory card. this is probably what they are/ take your memory card out and delete/print them.now proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0

If they only display on your PC, not the camera, maybe that's because they aren't on the camera any longer?
That happened to me (with photos on a smartphone). Turned out they weren't on the phone at all, but just in the cache memory of my PC.0 -
Most cameras have some internal memory so you are probably right, the OP's images are more than likely on the internal memory and the camera will be looking at the card memory only but the PC will detect all images. You sure the camera doesn't have some built in memory? Try removing the memory card and then looking for the images on the camera.Always get a Qualified opinion - My qualifications are that I am OLD and GRUMPY:p:p0 -
it will either be built in memory on the camera (most likely) or a hidden partition on the SD card.
There could even be a mode on the camera that only shows media after a certain date/the last X weeks for example.0 -
