Laptop problem - flashing screen

Options
Hi there,

my daughter dropped the laptop this afternoon and now the screen goes all wavey approx every 2 seconds for about 2 seconds - it's then perfectly okay for around 2 secs.

Any ideas from this vague discription what the problem could be?? Does still have a years warranty but that may be pushing it - don't think accidental damage is covered

The problem is probably that it needs to be repaired or replaced.

Do you have accidental damage cover on your house contents insurance policy?

can you plug it into an external monitor, and is it ok when you do ?? that would eliminate any mobo damage and then you're into screen connector cable, lcd panel itself, inverter, etc.... it would just help to narrow down the poss cause :)
