New bathroom rough cost

Hi Any ideas of the sort of cost for replacing a bathroom?
Take out and remove old bath, toilet and sink.
Fit new bath, toilet and sink.
Remove all tiles and replace tiles on wall with newtiles around 27 sqm.
Fit external fan in bathroom.
Fit new radiator, pipework there already.
Any idea on the labour for the above?
How about the cost of bath, toilet, sink, taps, tiles, fan, radiator. Any idea on the cost of that?
Thanks.

A bathroom and tiles at that price will be absolute cheap crap.
Get a decent one and decent tiles, this is if you want to walk into your bathroom and think, 'this is really nice'make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
1 day to strip everything out including tiles. 2 days to refit the new suite and rad assuming it is in the same place. Allow 4 days to retile. Allow say £1100 for labour. You will need a mini skip - say £85. Allow £150 for adhesive, grout, door bar, wastes, multikwix, flexis, any additional pipework, P traps, and consumables etc. Allow £20 for a basic extractor fan and £60 to fit it. Your rad (not heted towel rail) say £40. the tiles can be anything you want to pay. Allow £20 / metre and you will get something decent. A basic contractors bathroom suite will cost £200 and then they go up to £thousands. Its as much as you want to spend. So in total allow £3k. But remeber, a good tiler will make cheap tiles look a million dolars. A crap tiler will make good tiles look like a big pile of !!!!!. Its worth spending money on a goodplumber and tiler raether than scrimping to save a couple of quid.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Well thanks for that! I think our bathroom looks really nice and we got the suite for less than £300 and the tiles were £8 per box. We bought 1 box of large mosiac tiles (for some ridiculous price £48 or something) and cut them into strips to jazz up the plain white ones. All told our bathroom was done for less than £600.
It's been in for 2 years now and looks as good as new.
Fitter quoted us £4K !!
BTW - Plastic trim is now on the bath and woodwork is now glossed...LOL0 -

That's nice. That's the sort of think I am looking for. Did you get someone to fit it for you? What was the cost of that if you don't mind me asking please?0 -
That bathroom is gorgeous, I really love it, you must be so proud
I always say to people don't spend hundreds on tiles, go to Stoke on Trent where they are made instead, go to the factory shop and get a massive bargain.
Mine retailed at £25+ a metre but they only cost £5 at the factory shop, you'd save on tiles more than you'd spend on fuel getting there.

Breakdown of costs:
Suite was £300 and came with taps and fittings (Was actually closer to £350 - but we bought it on one of the weekends where they were offering 15% off everything). However taps were a bit cheap and nasty. We therefore bought different taps (again in the sale) for £85. We sold the taps that came with the suite for £40 on ebay!)
Tiles were £8 per box and they look plain white in the picture but they actually have a 'ripple effect' on them. Which makes them 'shine' a bit more. We splashed out on a box of 6 mosiac tiles (large tiles 12" square) and cut the tiles into strips and used them to make the border. They cost us nearly £50 but if we had bought the 'proper' border tiles it was coming out at nearly £200 !!!
Couple of rolls of wallpaper at £7 a roll which we painted with some left over paint (diluted with white until we got the colour we wanted).
The laminate flooring cost us quite a bit as it is very thick and it is especially for bathrooms (can't remembver how much it cost) and we had to get thick fibre boards too.
I don't think the materials came to any more than £600.
We did do all the work ourselves though. Hubby removed the old suite and fitted the new and I did all the tiling/papering/painting...etc...then he came back in to lay the floor!
Here is the 'before' pictures....LOL0 -
i'm a messy worker lol
We did get a quote and think they were wanting 4k. Just for a bog standard bathroom lol0
