HP Netbook - Corrupted Windows?

I am scratching my head with confusion over this one.
I have a HP netbook with Win XP service pack 3 installed.
Was working fine, but now the following has happened.
System Restore not working
Bluetooth vanished
Wont connect to the wireless network
All USB ports not working
Help & Support not working.
So I can't even plug in an external hard drive to get data off the hard drive or to reinstall windows.
I I thought I would try deleting the USB ports, but when I load device manager nothing appears in the window!! I tried sticking in an SD memory card and that port isn't working either.
Starting up in Safe mode gives no options other than starting up the screwed up version of windows.
Any clues, as im reluctant to bin it.

You could remove the hard drive and put it in an external caddy, then connect it to another PC to recover your data.
After that, you can look at a reinstall.0 -
