easyjet-can you travel from scotland>england using a bus pass as photo id?

I have a pensioner relative (grandmother) who does not have a passport, but is travelling down south in a month. I have had no word from easyjet yet, so am wondering if anyone on here has managed to travel north>south or vice versa if a bus pass is their only form of photo ID? Their website suggests that nothing else listed is very likely to be accepted, but the site IS a little outdated http://www.easyjet.com/en/news/20040628_01.html
It still lists pension books as an acceptable form of id, despite no longer being available, and my relation does not have an armed forces identity card (!) or police warrant badge, and cannot drive, so are they stuck? All they have is a photo bus pass-does anyone know if this has ever been accepted in order to travel? thanks

Well I don't know the answer for sure, but it ought to be regarded as a government issued ID (in the list) given that you need to prove ID (and age) to get it and it's issue by (local) government.
You'd best rely on what Easyjet tell you though.
If she's old enough (born on or before 2 September 1929) she can get a free passport. Don't know if that would help?0 -

She's still in her 70s, so the free passport isnt available.. for the moment! The citizencard is looking like the cheapest and best bet, since its both government and easyjet approved, thanks0

I travelled with a relative on Easyjet from Edinburgh to Gatwick back in September '09. He used his local authority issued bus pass and we had no problems whatsoever!0
