Decorating

3 bed house, think it's about 85-90sq metre. All rooms, i.e. 3 bedrooms, (not bathroom though), living room, kitchen, dining room, hall stairs and landing. To include glossing skirtings, picture rails and doors, and 2 coats of emulsion on walls and ceilings.

Excluding materials, quote is for £2650. I am in the South East.

If it is just painting / emulsioning, it seems a a bit top heavy. Is there any stripping of wallpaper? much making good? And where abouts n the South East are you?

No stripping of wallpaper and not much making good - some parts of the wall will be freshly plastered from where we've had stuff done to the electrics.

Thanks, so does that mean it's about right then? The house is empty, and carpets will be laid afterwards, i that makes any difference.

Oh and any idea how much paint might cost for this type of job?

I'dbe inclined to say that at least !!!!!! Turpin had the decency to wear a mask. That sounds like a total rip-off to me. Go down the pub and find a decent decorator.

I refer you back to Post #5.
