SUNDAY TASK!!!!!
I want you to each come up with 10 hideous tasks you need to get done which you always put off even though they are only 5-10 minute jobs. You don't need to do any of them today.. just comprise the list!!- Pot on herbs
- Trim tatty bits of hedge
- Finish trying on clothes (part of Clothes Frog)
- Print maps for holiday
- Do packing list for holiday
- Make cheese straws (needed for Tuesday evening)
- Ring builders about patio (Mr LW to do)
- Watch remaining programme on video tape (need tape to re-use next week)
- Purchase new washing up bowl
- Tidy up and refill bird feeders; take down fat ball holder as that's not in use currently
Morning ladies,
I'm having a massive flinging day inspired by pigpen
Not doing too bad so far....
Can I ask a question? I have my wedding album from 1985. Divorced 1998.
I don't know why I've hung onto it.
I don't know whether to
a) scan ALL the pictures in and bin it
b) just scan a few and bin it
c) just bin the lot?
BTW No kids - so who cares?
I need to do it in the next hour before I put it off again. Bin men come first thing tomorrow ...
What do you think?
Anyways - it's time for Lottie's walk, so ttfn.:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Maxonian I know it's more than an hour since you posted this, but I reckon it depends how amicable/acrimonious the divorce was. If it was me I'd have a super-duper bonfire with it but if I saw the KH in the street, I'd be hard put not to break every bone in his body!
That's kinda how I feel LW. In fact partly why I moved 50 miles, so as I wasn't arrested :rotfl:
He's a KH and a whole lot more of naughty words.
I have taken the photos out of the posh album and put them in an envelope. The posh album is in the bin.
At least it's a start.
All of the cardboard and paper is ready for recycling in the morning and the bin is ready to be dragged up the path. (Yes they come on BHs here). Amazed.
DH is back from his 6 hour cycle event. I met him with his extra water and he said you do know what day it is? Erm Sunday? He said it's the anniversary of my brain tumour op. 3 years ago on the Saturday he had it removed. I'd completely forgotten, but this is how he celebrates life each year by doing something that pushes him.
He's knackered, but in a good kinda way.
I think he is going to watch the GP now, so I will get the ironing out. We were both in Monte Carlo last November so it will be nice seeing it again.
Chippy tea - CBA to cook although i might see if DH will get us something nice from the Thai place seeing as he has been paid

Ironing done with the help of the first episode of Geordie Shore on the Sky+ box. OH came in half way through (he'd been to see his Mum) and is STILL in stunned silence an hour after it finished
:rotfl::D He did take the dogs out though, so I had a quick swipe round the living room with a duster and then hoovered the reachable bits of living room, landing and stairs. That's it for cleaning for the day I think - going to feed my horse and then collapse on the sofa with a well-earned bar of Dairy Milk Bliss

Well I've had a busy day at the PC, and have managed to get my head around the first week's maths planning. I've written my ideas into a notebook - just need to get them into the official proforma, and make or source any resources.
The sink is getting there with the vinegar soaking, and scrubbing with the value toothbrush I bought (inspired by pigpen yesterday) especially for the job. I think my problem is, I'm a perfectionist, and the fact that it's been left for a while to build up limescale, means it's taking longer than expected to get it all sparkly.
Just seen the time, so I'd better get my socks and trainers on ready for my Zumba class tonight, as I've got to leave in about 30 mins.
Can I ask about what the tadpoles and frogs thing is all about? I've obviously missed something somewhere.
Hugs to all who need or want them.

I've managed to complete everything that I possibly could get done this weekend. I have also managed to get some things done that were not on my original list, as I have looked into a lot of survey sites, which I was not registered with and also all work things are ready to go for next week. :jAiming to get Debt Free.0 -
Woke up at 5.35am this morning - after the initial !!!!!!????????, realised I wasn't going back to sleep anytime soon, so got up, had tea, a lovely long, hot shower and limped up to the shops, only to find that they now open at 11am on Sundays so they stay open later. Guess nobody else in town has the bright idea of getting up on a Sunday morning, then. Consoled myself with a latte and then off to M&S to find that the dinner set I wanted has sold out
which is most annoying because it isn't in stock on the website. Admittedly, it is only a couple of pound cheaper to buy the same stuff separately, but I wanted the nice, easy to carry and fit in a shopping trolley, box with a handle.
Wandered around, came home at midday and went to the garden centre for dill seed (why don't they sell it in pots when they do fennel?), plus some more canes and pea seeds and the aquatic centre for Minion's 3rd part of her birthday present - a 24l fully equipped aquarium, along with the water treatment stuff. All we need to get when she has opened it (and doesn't have the cinema trip and party to deal with) is gravel, plants and fish. It is, however, and they are (probably 2 fancy goldfish/calico oranda, 3 - 5 minnows and maybe a plec to clean the glass - according to the staff, that is the maximum that would be happy in there) going to live in my kitchen and not in her pit.
I am sure I was supposed to be saving money by not splashing out £150 on a Wii/DSi/ipod this year.
Drilled holes into a battered bucket when home for the peas & beans and chucked the dill in the flower bed. The garden is pretty full now, well, for a first year, at any rate, so I think I need to try and ease off on the gardening now.
Done 2 x WM
2 X hanging out
2 x bedlinen hot wash
1 x bedlinen hung out
1 x bedlinen on final spin
Have run out of bleach in both bathrooms  so had to go out again to get some.
Oh, finally bought lampshades for every room and put them up and assembled IKEA coffee table - not really what I wanted, but at £15, I don't care - it is better than not having a coffee table.
Possibly a bit busier than I anticipated.
Tomorrow, I may go back and get the dinner service, but if not, I shall have to wrap up Minion's presents before she returns from her Dearest Papa [chokes on thickness of sarcasm I have just laid on]
Other than that, I shall do as little as I can get away with tomorrowI could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
pigpen I will be away from the pc from 6.15 to 7

I have made out my 10 things list which has 1 thing many times as it really needs doing. However it is far to windy to go into the garden. I may go and potter in the spare room as I haven't really done that this week, I also have a pile of stuff to put away. I am quite bored at the moment so will have to do something or I will drive OH mad.
