3rd Party Travel Insurance for Rental Car

I am travelling to South Africa in August where I want to rent a car. South African car rental companies don't seem to offer 3rd party insurance. In other words, if I crash into someone I will have to pay to fix their vehicle. UK travel insurance policies don't seem to cover these situations. Their Personal Public Liability sections always have an exception for mechanical/motorised vehicles. Any suggestions to cover myself? Thanks.

Might not be the one you want, but have you consdier NOT renting a car and using other possibilities.
Driving a car in foreign countries is often fraught with difficulty.
In a lot of countries, criminals dress up as police to stop you and then hijack your car. As a rich westerner you're an easy target.
I don't know about South Africa but it's hardly a safe country to go to.
Could you make your journeys with a combination of other transport.
It might be a safer option.0
