Does anyone know if you should use a furminator on a border terrier?
some sites say you can other say you cant so I am confused
our border gets handstripped at a grooming parlour about 3 times a year, but I have been using a furminator on him inbetween so that there is less hair around the house
I read on a website that furminators can damage the coat, another states they are excellent. i am happy with less hair coming off him inside but dont want to ruin his coat long term

Hello, I use a furminator on mine, I've not had him hand stripped yet, he's going to be done in june for the first time. I hadn't even thought about whether it was ok to use it on him. If there is a problem it's too late now as I've been using it for a while.:) I remember being told not to use clippers on him or I wouldn't be able to show him. Not that this is a problem as he finds it hard enough to behave himself in an empty field let alone a show ring.:D0
