Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc - Video and Audio out of SYNC

Hi everyone,
I bought a Sony Ericsson Arc in April with mobiles.co.uk having researched the phone and read nothing but good things about it. All was going well until recently.when I used the cameras HD video recording function. After recording a video in HD the audio and picture are out of sync with each other. I've reinstalled the software and found the problem remains.
I did a Google search on this issue and it seems to be affecting many others and is reported on several phone/tech websites. However giving Sony Ericsson marketing this feature as its main selling point I feel.cheated.
What can I do? Will mobiles.co.uk swap the handset for another phone? What are my rights? I spoke to Orange and they say to speak to mobiles.co.uk although they're quite tricky to get hold of.
Helllpppppp !!!

Are you re-installing the software which came with it or from the website?

Is this the version of Media Go you have?

" A thread at the Sony Ericsson forums shows that they are aware of the issue and working on a fix, which hopefully won’t be long. "

Could be worth keeping a look out for the update in as many places as you can

In your middle link it is asked what class of card is being used -nobody answers. With the £10 miniDV cams, stuttering is evident with slow cards , ideally should be class 10.
What bitrate does phone operate at with hd video ? Guessing that's classified !
Are you watching the video on the phone ??? Does it still stutter when viewed via hdmi on tv ?
What is it like to watch after putting the video file onto a decent pc and watching with, say, vlc ?
edit- I am not familiar with hd phones but usually the problems with hd playback are hardware related.
If you follow this forum, HD video playback/editing problems from new hd camcorders are a major reason for pc upgrades/replacement.
It may well be that the makers have promised more than the device is capable of.
Back to the retailer , as orange said. They are liable.0 -
Hello DDdoris,
Yeah sadly the file still stutters and has out of sync audio when played on my PC, PS3 or my TV.0 -
Hi everyone,
This issue has now been fixed by Sony Ericsson. They have released an update which changes the format of the memory card to FAT32 which resolves the issue!0 -
