Sound from Playstation/Stereo to Laptop.

Could anybody tell me how to go about getting the sound from my Playstation 2 (via stereo or direct) to my laptop.
I found my old Music 2000 game and want to transfer the songs I made and burn them to a CD or make them in to MP3's.
Is there a way of doing this, and is there a programme that will turn the sound in to a file?

I have connectors for the PS2 to stereo, but not sure how to get it to my laptop.

Audio out on the PS2 to the Microphone in on your lappy, disable the "mic boost" option in the Windows recording controls, and use whatever software takes your fancy to record it.

thanks for the quick reply. Which is the audio out from the ps2? the only one I can think of is AV Multi out? If thats the case, I haven't got an av end, where the other end will fit in to the microphone hole. Sorry If I sound thick.
