Any tips anyone has to save money will be greatly appreciated!!
The fiance and i are just out of debt we altho we want a nice wedding it doesnt have to rival that of wills and kate.
We have the chapel and reception booked, big day is 23 july next year, but i went to a wedding fayre and my god every is so expensive!! My mum and sisters are also trying to take over the planning which is irritating.
I want to get the whole thing (honeymoon also) for under 10k, recpetion is costsing around 3k (we got a really good deal, 3 course mean in a 4 star hotel for up to 100 guests for 2k, extra 1 k covers dj, wine on table, table linen, cake stand and slice), so that leaves 7k for everything else and if i could id reaslly like to not spend it all as we saving for a deposit on a house as well

Get over to the Weddings board - the folks over there will help you. And BTW, £10k is a lot of money to have in your budget.0

Oh 10K is LOADS
There's folk on the weddings board who are doing lovely weddings on half of that. We're a friendly bunch over there and you'll get great advice on getting the most for your money, and loads of ideas for things you probably hadn't even thought about.
And you can vent to your heart's content about family taking over things...we're good listeners to people who are getting grief, you're in good company with that one!0
