A fair comment Ali, but I think O4U's point still holds true. Like him I buy almost everything I can on CC (AmEx platinum for the cashback), and pay off in full every month.
I follow one very simple rule, I never spend money that I haven't got.
I wish I could boast O4U's claim of never having paid any CC interest, but I made a mistake on a Morgan Stanley CC about 7 years ago when the balance was £1,212.21 and I paid off £1,212.12 by mistake and ended up with about £17 worth of interest for my 9p error. They wouldn't refund the interest, which I guess was their perogative, and I went and got an AmEx card intead, which I guess was mine.
Only problem with AmEx cards is there not welcome everywhere. So I suspect all those high flying execs with a Centurion card also have another (Master or Visa) stuffed away in their wallet just in case. Probably a Vanquis card....:rotfl:
