Could a P45 be wrong

I was working with a company and resigned from my job on the 30/06/10
which is shown on my p45 the sent me, they have stated that I work for 4 month on it started an amount which I did not earn between 05/04/10 and 30/06/10. I have been looking for my pay slips and could only find the one for April. Does anyone have an idea of how I should go about this

You could ask the employer for a statement of earnings showing the payment they paid you and you could gather together your payslips and compare the figures with the statement.

If you can't find the payslips then how about checking your bank account to see what net amount was paid to you and when the payments stopped.

If the P45 is wrong then they have to change it.

My daughter received an incorrect P45 when she left her last job. The figures were right but they indicated that she had died when she was very much alive.:eek: That took a while to get sorted and she did eventually get the correct P45.
