overseas children charities

Hi, my issue is this. My mother and her church group have handmade approx 250 knitted teddy's. She lives on the south coast, and has found an organisation in Stevenage that ships this sort of thing to children in Africa. My problem is that shes in her 70s and its not the easiest of drives for her as the bulk of the journey is motorway driving, which shes not confident with. Theis organisation do not collect.

To send would cost a fortune. Does anyone know of any charitable organisation that deals with children overseas based in the South East, that would appreciate these teddy's?

Why not donate them to a UK based charity for UK kids?

Can she give them to a UK charity shop that benefits overseas children? That way everyone wins?

I don't know what sort of church your mother's group springs from, but I know many CofE churches have a diocesan link to a diocese overseas, with a regular exchange of visitors. If not CofE, then does the level about the local church (district in my tradition) have similar links?

A pallet shipper would deliver a load of about 1 cubic meter for about £50. You would have to pack the donation in boxes to fit on the pallet. Try PalletTrack and there are others.
