Stick it through the car wash. It is a car for heavens sake, not a work of art. Quite soon its worth will have depreciated to nothing, irrespective of how many pointless hours you spend polishing it.

It'll depreciate to nothing a lot faster if you ruin the paintwork with automatic car washes :p

Has it ever occurred to you that some people actually enjoy cleaning/polishing a car?

Some great advice on cleaning there - I've already printed it off and given it to the missus. ;)
    - Autoglym Super Resin Polish (This is a good product I used to use it, but I moved on to using ultra deep shine due to having a black car.)
I'd seen the Autoglym Super Resin Polish on their website and thought that would be good for removing minor scratches and swirl marks, but my car is black as well, so would the Ultra Deep Shine be better?
Like I said if halfords are doing their 3 for 2 still you should be able to get this all for £40.
    That sounds ideal. Thanks.

I have a newish dark red car and went for UDS and it's good, it doesnt however have the cutting power of SRP so if your wanting to remove swirls you may be better using Super Resin first.

I then use Autoglym HD Wax on top of that and it created the most amazing dark mirrored finish!

Please correct me if I am wrong, I am no expert.

there are much better way to clean a car, 3m rosa polich is nice if you have a buffer and goes on wet, no need to dry car off.

more more detailing the more cost involded.
