Is it worth investing in Premium Bonds?

Did they sell all their holdings on Tuesday?
Eaxctly. Unless you sold the next day no-one "lost" money on that day. In the same way that no-one "lost" money in 2008 when the markets crashed unless you sell in panic. 2009 saw some of the best opportunities for investing for many many years when prices were so low.
If you sell at the slightest hint of trouble then investments aren't really for you.
Premium bonds may guarantee that your capital doesn't drop but all the time it is being eroded by inflation. So the £10 in 1960 that was put into premium bonds and was the equivalent of a weeks wages then would barely match an hours wages now.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0
