TalkTalk twice as expensive for 0844 numbers?

The MSE International Call Checker gives very useful 0844 providers which I use for calling South East Asia.
I rent my line from TalkTalk and recently found my bills to be much higher than before - probably because TalkTalk have doubled the amount they charge for 0844 providers (G22 and G8 rate codes).

For instance, the 0844 86xxxxx providers are now billed at 2p/min with TalkTalk whereas the MSE Call Checker shows the same providers at 1p/min for those with BT lines.
Has anyone else noticed this? I checked through my records and don't recall receiving notification from TalkTalk that these rates were being unilaterally increased.

Perhaps MSE members who regularly use 0844 providers ought to be warned against signing up with TalkTalk.
