I did a impromptu trip to Lidl's the other day, i haven't been there for years but the one by my Sister has been refurbished so we popped in for a look the other day and i came out with a trolley full.
I've just worked out how much the same shop would have cost me in Tesco.
In Lidl's the total came to £54.19 and in Tesco £56.72, i thought there would be more difference than that. There was £5.11 of stuff that was more expensive in Lidl and £7.64 that was cheaper.0 -
We find that the supermarket value brands are cheaper but look out for the deals at both Aldi and Lidl. Last week for example we went to Lidl for the £1.99 chicken and Aldi for a couple of their super-6. Tomorrow we are off for some cheap mince-meat and plan to seriously stock up on the ACE juice at Lidl. Our other shopping or 'main' shopping is does at Sainsburys buying only Basic labeled items.0
