With the wind we are getting, I wouldnt be suprised if they were being blown over from America

We are having some odd weather though, dispite the winds, its nowhere near as cold as normal.

My husband is a gardener and he has been saying for the last couple of years that the seasons are all running about a month behind.

And attaching themselves to our trees?:rotfl:

Seriously, though, we've hardly had any cold weather yet, apart from a couple of days of frost in November.

Still, it's rather late for leaves to be hanging on though, no?

  • It's only been winter for about 3 days here. I can always tell because the seasons each have a distinctive smell and it just changes one morning. Plus, the day it smelled like winter, it was freezing and there were patches of ice on the road.

But some of the leaves have stayed put due to the extremely mild autumn. I think we're in for a very cold winter.

I know what you mean about the smell, but I hope you're wrong about the cold winter. It is getting quite chilly here, but still the leaves hang on!
