Got this email from Eon today: Get solar powered for 99 pounds from E.ON
Anyone else seen this?
How does it work?
If your home is suitable, we'll install solar panels on your roof for a one-off
payment of £99
The panels will be kept on the property's roof for just over 25 years, and you'll
be able to use the electricity produced for free
E.ON and its partners will cover their costs through Government subsidies for
renewable energy
Sounds like a good offer but surely cannot be so simple?

Hi
I'd check if your array is showing on Google Earth yet ... & if it is give them a bell to see if they consider your roof as being suitable ....

I recently applied for Eon's SolarExchange offer of free panels for £99. Applied via their website giving all my property details/location etc. Now received a telephone call from Eon stating that because I live in Scotland, a "Scottish Law" prevents them from installing panels on my roof. The guy from Eon could not elaborate on what this "law" was but just that their legal teams were on to it to try and get it changed. Call me a cynic but I was just expecting them to tell me that because of Scottish latitude, then installation and FIT would not be profitable enough for them....but a Scottish Law? Is there such a thing?Jako0
